Inspired by the round shape of the Shiliuzun, or the Pomegranate vase, the NURR ring takes us to Armenia, along the Silk Road, on which Chinese ceramics travelled to India, Persia, the Turkish empire and Africa, among other lands. As a symbol of fertility and fortune in both China and Armenia, the pomegranate alludes to the female body as a vessel filled.
